If you've never heard the disco classic "I'm Coming Up" by Diana Ross, the best way to hear it is anything but listening to it on repeat for 6 hours on an airplane! The man next to me had a walkman, and kept rewinding it to listen to the SAME SONG over and over for 6 HOURS. Insanity.
Anyways, New York was hot as crazyness the first night I got it, but got cold the day after, and rained, which I haven't seen much of in the past 8 months. I stayed at this hotel, called the Gershwin:
It was artsy and stuff. I think Andy Warhol's assistant lived there once. I had a couple of drinks with a good friend, Emily, and I walked home in the rain. I felt very John Cusack, sans the angst.
We drove down to a town outside of Philly today. I got a sweet new phone to use while I'm working on the job, and I learned how to ride a Segway:
Tomorrows our first day of actual work, promoting for a Nokia Music tour that's going to be coming into towns a few days after us. Should be fun. I'll be posting more pictures as I take them.
